Paulo Hercilio Viegas Rodrigues

Graduated in Agronomic Engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (1987), Masters degree in Sciences (Nuclear Energy in Agriculture) by the Center of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (1992) and PhD in Sciences by Center of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (1996). He has experience in plant biotechnology, with emphasis on seedling production, working mainly on the following topics: plant tissue culture, acclimatization, somaclonal variation studies, protected cultivation and tropical floriculture. He has served as technical coordinator of the plant tissue culture laboratory of the Amazonian Biotechnology Center (CBA) and currently is Professor of the discipline of Floriculture and Ornamental Plants (RDIDP) at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo and Plant Tissue Culture at the Center of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture.
