Fábio Schreiber

Researcher in Weed Science with 8 years experience (M. Sc, Ph.D and Post-doctoral Researcher). My research activities focus on crop management, control of pests, pesticides application technology, degradation of pesticides in agricultural cropping fields, studying the fate of pesticides in the environment and working with topics related to weed management and resistance. The objective of the majority of my research activities is to contribute to the development of integrated pest management strategies and mitigation of pesticides in environment. During my PhD studies I have been abroad in the agroecology department at Aarhus University (Denmark), working in the Natural Product Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry group. Besides, I also have experience conducting and evaluating research experiments with several crops such as, maize, soybean, wheat, barley and rice. More recently, my research focus has changed to Plant breeding and seeds production, where I assume a position as Research Supervisor at Syngenta, being responsible for assist set up and conduct field experiments including all aspects of data collection.
