This research was carried out at the Chapecó Experiment Station, to study the effect of inseticides against the citrus leafminer, P. citrella, and repercussion on its parasitoid G. fausta, in Valência orange orchard. The treatments were: abamectin, deltamethrin, malathion, fenthion, parathion, and lambdacyhalothrin, all plus mineral oil and control. The population was estimated 14 and 28 days after the spray. From the results it is possible to conclude that all insecticides were efficient in controlling P. citrella after 14 days but were not selective for G. fausta.
