Gastrointestinal problems in dogs are commonly associated with bacterial and parasitic etiological origins, however, gastrointestinal pathologies of fungal origin such as Cyniclomyces guttulatus infection, which is characteristic of rabbits and rodents, but which should be better studied in dogs, are rarely diagnosed. Thus, the present study aimed to report a case of C. guttulatus infection in a dog attended at a private veterinary clinic located in the city of Fortaleza-CE.
