Notes on the geographic distribution of Neoplatymops mattogrossensis (Vieira, 1942) (Chiroptera, Molossidae)

Neoplatymops mattogrossensis is presently known to have a wide distribution in northern South America, but all registered locations are very scattered, showing considerable geographical gaps. Records of this species in eastern Colombia, the Guianas and Venezuela border the frontier with Brazil. In the latter country, the species occurs in the Amazonian states of Mato Grosso and Pará, and in the Northeast, the states of Bahia and Pernambuco, far to the east from the Amazonian registers (Figure 1).
