Bat richness and diversity were recorded by systematic samplings from January to December 2011 in Punta Colorada, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Species accumulation was generated and the differences in abundance between both seasons were determined by U the Mann-Whitney test. Three families, 11 genera and 14 bat species were registered. The abundance show differences between both seasons (U= 7, P=0.453) and there was not difference in diversity between both seasons of year (t=0.486, g. l.=26, P=0.346). Artibeus genera members show as dominant species inboth year seasons. In this work we contribute to the understanding of the bats richness and diversity in a site with few anthropogenic disturbance but with a strong pressure for change the land use.(AU)
