RESPOSTA ENDOMETRIAL DE ÉGUAS SUBMETIDAS À INFUSÃO UTERINA COM QUEROSENE E IODO POVIDINE.

This experiment was designed to evaluate the endometrial response of mares submitted to intra-uterine infusion of kerosene and povidone iodine (PVPI). Thirty-six mixed breeds mares were divided in 3 groups. Group 1 received 50 ml of intra-uterine infusion with undiluted commercial kerosene; group 2, 50 ml of 10% solution of PVPI and group 3, 50 ml of 5% glucose solution. Fragments of endometrial tissue were removed from each mare for endometrial biopsy at days 0 (just before treatments), day 1, 7 and 30 (after treatments).
